A: More casual, smaller and intimate seems like people are heading towards unique and stylish over huge weddings

What is the #1 piece of advice you would give to couples planning a wedding in 2013/2014

A: Instead of focusing just on price and style, make sure you like and get along with all the people involved in helping to co-ordinate your wedding

Why is it important for brides and grooms-to-be to shop locally for the wedding products/services?

A: Because things sometimes take longer than expected when it comes with shipping etc

What is your favourite wedding themed movie or TV/reality show of all time?

A: Rich Bride/Poor Bride

What would you say has been the proudest moment as a business owner in the wedding industry?

A: Seeing my clients tear up after seeing their photos of their big day and the sheer joy in their eyes

A: Take the time to enjoy the process

Why is it important for brides and grooms-to-be to shop locally for the wedding products/services?

A: Shopping locally allows the bride and groom to have the service they require and address any concerns in person. Alterations and fittings are lengthy and you don’t want to be travelling long distances

What is your favourite wedding themed movie or TV/reality show of all time?

A: Say “Yes” to the Dress!

What would you say has been the proudest moment as a business owner in the wedding industry?

A: We are proud every time a mother of the bride or groom emerges from the dressing room with tears of joy in their eyes

We will be showcasing the latest trends in all special occasion attire. We also will be showing a sampling of evening shoes and accessories found in our boutique.

A: Pricing is usually more competitive and you always get something more tailored to your specific needs

A: When we see our pieces in photos/print we are always so proud that we designed and made them by hand!

A: Anything vintage or rustic-lots of lace and burlap.. Candy buffets and smores bars!  

What is the #1 piece of advice you would give to couples planning a wedding in 2013/2014

A: Don’t be afraid to mix and match your décor-go with YOU like and what you think looks nice. Be creative and have fun!  

Why is it important for brides and grooms-to-be to shop locally for the wedding products/services?

A: It saves them time and money on shipping.driving etc. and also helps out the local businesses and services.

What is your favourite wedding themed movie or TV/reality show of all time?

A: My Best Friend’s Wedding

What would you say has been the proudest moment as a business owner in the wedding industry?

A: Being able to provide everything that my customers want and to create the look of their dreams

What is the #1 piece of advice you would give to couples planning a wedding in 2013/2014

A: My number one piece of advice for couples planning is that ultimately remember why you are there getting married…to be with your partner and the details are important but not the “be all end all”! Just don’t forget the reason why you are getting married and when it is all over it will be well worth it.

A: It’s important for brides to shop locally because it provides your local businesses with business and is a way for you to invest in your local community. Ultimately, if you invest in your local businesses for your products and services, it keeps the area alive and continues to serve you for all of your needs

What would you say has been the proudest moment as a business owner in the wedding industry?

A: One of my most gratifying moments is when the couple I’m investing in accepts me as more than just their photographer, but as a friend and we continue our friendship beyond the wedding day. A wedding is one of the most important days of your life and investing in the right photographer will allow you to re-live and remember those stories for many years.

What will you be showcasing at the Hamilton-Halton Spring Wedding Show 2013?

A: I will be showcasing Eagleye Photography and I’m very blessed that I will be able to showcase my passion for photography through my work and educate brides in what they would be asking photographers and know their rights as a client in this industry. At Eagleye Photography, our business is investing in people and we are blessed that we get to do that through photography. Educating our clients is just as important as shooting the wedding day.

In your opinion, what are the biggest trends for the upcoming wedding season?

A: Although stronger, bolder colours are popular; flower selections in creams, ivories and whites are definitely  dominant. Vintage and feminine floral choices are really popular, including hydrangeas, roses, peonies and calla lilies

Why is it important for brides and grooms-to-be to shop locally for the wedding products/services?

A: We have so many wonderful local resources to draw from-from venues, dress boutiques, invitations FLORISTS etc etc. Us the internet to gather information but stir on the local economy!

What would you say has been the proudest moment as a business owner in the wedding industry?

A: Definitely the weekend of June 30-July 1, 2012-3 LARGE weddings for a total of 3 bridal bouquets, 17 bridesmaid’s bouquets, 67 guest table arrangements….WE DID IT!!

What will you be showcasing at the Hamilton-Halton Spring Wedding Show 2013?

A: A varied selection of bridal  and bridesmaids bouquets-with coordinating guest table arrangements-all at various price points…and of course, our ever popular floral cupcakes!
